Kangoeroes Mechelen – Leuven Bears (2-2)
Two days after the incredible fourth round of the Belgian playoffs, where the Bears triumphed over the Kangoeroes after two extra innings, the two teams will meet one last time in Mechelen to decide the second finalist of the Belgian playoffs. The Kangoeroes came close to qualifying in the previous game, but the character of the Bears finally got the better of them in the crucial moments.

If the Leuven Bears have regained their confidence by forcing a fifth set at the end of the suspense, we will also have to see how the efforts will have been digested. Coach Eddy Casteels relies on fewer rotations and the Leuven Bears had to play three games in the previous round, while Kangoeroes Mechelen was exempted from the quarterfinals. The physical parameter could therefore make the difference. In Mechelen’s camp, the form men of the last game were Loubry (29 points) and Stephens (15 points). On the side of Leuven, Solomon Young (31 points and 12 rebounds) was the executioner of the opposing defense.
