On Saturday 30 April, the first edition of the betFIRST BNXT Awards will take place in the AED Studios, Lint. This award show honours the best of Belgian and Dutch basketball.  Come and celebrate this first edition of the betFIRST BNXT Awards with players, coaches, press (in short, the whole basketball community).

Categories

The different awards are listed below. The jury consists of: coaches, assistant coaches, members of the press and team captains of the betFIRST BNXT League. On 22 April, the nominees per category will be announced. So stay tuned to this page and the @bnxtleague social media channels!

MVP

The Most Valuable Player trophy has been awarded in previous years to the best player in the Dutch Basketball League and the Pro Basketball League. After the merger of the two leagues at the end of 2020, only one BNXT League MVP will be awarded this year.

Referee of the year

The Referee of the Year Award honours a Dutch and a Belgian referee who have demonstrated a strong work ethic and knowledge of the rules of the game.

The Defensive Player of the Year (DPOY) Award is presented to the player who has excelled defensively throughout the season in the betFIRST BNXT League.

Lifetime achievement
